Method
Apple Pie Mixture
- Dice or grate the apples. You could also pulse them in the food processor a few times to save time.
- Heat a nonstick skillet over medium heat.
- Add the butter (if using) and let it melt.
- Add the apples, spice, salt, and water.
- Cook for 7-10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the apples are soft and most of the liquid has evaporated.
- Transfer to a bowl and let cool completely before mixing with the oats.
Chia Oat Base
- In a large bowl, combine the cooled apple mixture, Greek yogurt, maple syrup (or honey), vanilla, and protein powder. Mix until smooth.
- Stir in the oats and chia seeds until evenly combined.
- Divide evenly into 4 jars.
Cinnamon Yogurt Topping
- Mix all ingredients together until smooth and spread evenly over each jar.
- Add optional toppings.
Top with extra cinnamon, pecans, crushed graham crackers, or granola!
